Bake, Bake, Bake....

Bake your booty!

My nephew is getting baptized this weekend and my sister in law wanted to have a cute simple favor. She considered buying some cute cookie favors and/or buying a bird seed biscuit. All ideas were great but then new ideas started to brew after she said I found a recipe to make the bird seed biscuit.
Once a local cookie favor company got back to her and gave her and told them how much it would be for 50 favors I was in shock! These people were making a killing, off of these cookies. I knew between her and I we could make these cookie favors happen. And so the internet searching began, I found the perfect recipe for royal icing and she found a local bakery supply shop. And then more ideas started brewing. On my daily blog stop over at Prudent Baby, I remembered coming across some chocolate mold candies that she used as cupcake toppers. So I suggested why not get a bigger mold and use this as mini favor.

So to make life easier she suggested getting the royal icing pre made from the bakery shop. And that was the plan until a couple hours ago, the bakery is all out of icing. So now we are on a mission to make our own icing. This should be interesting!! So the plan is make these bad boys today, so that way in case they don't work out we still have Thursday and Friday left to reattempt. BUT hopefully that will not be the case. Time to bake our booties off!

Round Two, or is it Round Three??
So the first time around I did okay for the first two months I was posting almsot everyday. And somewhere after the second month I stopped. Booooo that sucks, I know so I'm going to attempt to try it again YAY!
